Anyone in love with weed?

Im writing a paper on the relationship between Love and drugs. I am trying to say that someone can be in love with a drug just as they can be in love with a person

my idea is that avid cannabis smokers LOVE weed. i want to know if you can be in love with weed. please give me some insight

how is the feeling of getting stoned similar to love?

does being high make you love life?

does it make you feel like a better lover?

any help would be great. im just brainstorming at the moment. im going to include things such as how obsession, need, dependence ect. are both aspects of being in love and doing drugs. thanks!

Anyone in love with weed?
I love weed, but I am not IN love with it. The feeling is nothing similar to love. Weed just makes you feel numb most of the time, or numb and giggly. It's never like an overjoyous occassion. Being high does help me enjoy my life a little more. And you feel like a better love because you lose some of your inhibitions and you feel a little freer.

Edit: I have never heard of a correllation between marijuana and the emotion love. The only connection that I can logically make is that when someone smokes marijuana it creates a chemical reaction that mimics being in love. But in my experience, the actual feeling of being high is just blah, it's relaxing, and not really exciting like love. I would be interested in your sources?
Reply:um... no... i enjoy smoking it but i'm not in love with it. also, most people who smoke weed are not addicted to it, only some who become psychologically addicted. but the majority are not, so there is no issue for most people with need and dependence.
Reply:I dont think people love it...they become dependant on it. Besides compairing human love to substance love just isn't the same type of love anyways.

ok so i didn't answer your questions but you get the gist of it
Reply:it makes you way happy and it makes u feel like theres no popularity. a "nerd" can walk up to a "cheer leader" and tell her shes beautiful with out caring what he just did..
Reply:I really think that someone could but they also call that an addiction, depends on who you ask.
Reply:There is no corollary between liking drugs and love.
Reply:when i saw ur question i thought whoa does she do drugs

but thank god u dont

i dont and i hope i never will

drugs are bad news
Reply:No, no and no. So sad.
Reply:Whew! I'm glad your not one of them! I was thinking "How pathetic!"
Reply:lol. that is a one way relationship my friend.
Reply:duh
Reply:are u a weed smugglar !
Reply:nope..I don't know why anyone would be. All you do is laugh at everyone for no reason %26amp; look like a fool then when your finish with that you eat yourself half to death then crash out for a few hours. YUCK!

I can almost see how people would feel like a better lover though because you get really really well...you want it bad ..when you get high. So I don't think it makes you better really, it just makes you want it more therefore it feels extra good so you think your the bomb..lol

As for love I wouldn't say it's similar at all...none

And as for making your life better,no. I think most people smoke it just to escape from reality because they can't for what ever reason handle daily issues on their own. I know one thing when you get caught with it %26amp; end up in jail your not "loving your life" then huh? LOL

OK ....I am adding this to say if your trying to "prove" links between love %26amp; pot it's not going to happen...you can prove lust %26amp; being outright horny %26amp; addiction is linked with pot smoking but not love....sorry
Reply:the pot smokers obsession over marijuana is similar to a person's general appreciation for nature itself. The marijuana bud is a unqiue cosmitc design, it's smell dictates it's potency, and its high is a euphoric one leaving it's user with a notion of mystique and intrigue every time one encounters it's heavenly presence.

One cannot equate love for cannabis to that of a significant other because it is two different things. It's like saying what would be more desirable, a kiss from your lover or a cool breeze on a hot summer day. Both are pleasures of different magnitudes. Same applies for those who show distinct appreciation for cannabis. It is a love in the form of appreciation of nature rather than the love of acceptance of another. The addiction part plays a role when one cannot differentiate between the two or chooses one to replace the other.

When one is educated about the wonders of cannabis and uses it as a supplemental herbal remedy which it is intended for. The user is enlightened and believes his/her existence is a fulfilling one.
