I love you?

please read this whole thing. im confused.





Its weird. People can safely and easily say "I love you" to a friend, or a pet, or a celebrity without knowing them well, or meaning it. But nobody cares.





Example-


"I love you Michael Jackson!"


"I love my friends so much"


OR


you just meet a puppy- "aw! its so cute, i love it!"





But heres the thing- Why is it such a big deal when your boyfriend/girlfriend sincerely says "I love you" for the first time. And some people freak out.





This is what happened


My first boyfriend, (we are in 7th grade) i like him alot, hes the first and only guy ive ever liked like that. Hes really sweet to me. anyway, on the same week that he asked me out, we were on the phone one night while i was with my best friend (who i loved to death since kindergarten, but she hates my bf for some reason) and i said "ig2g, goodnight" and he said "Goodnight, i love you"


so i completely froze up. he had never said that before. i was so happy,then(adding details)

I love you?
LOVE is an overly used word, it has lost its meaning. Though it can be used in different situation to express different emotions so the meaning of it differ as well.

As far for your bf please go ahead and talk to him, express your feelings and why you did not say the same to him. Save him from this pain that you have caused by your action. He had good intentions. Express your thoughts and feelings in words so he can understand you.

Reply:Love is very overused. Plus it is used in many different contexts. I love cheesecake. I love my Mom. .....If said with the righ emphasis it can even mean you don't like something...."Don't you just LOVE it when he does that?!


I am not sure it means anything anymore, the way most people throw the word around. Actions speak louder to me.

Reply:Its hard at first cause my bf said that to me 2 and i said it back because i ♥ him and he does too. So tell him that you care about him but just tell him that you are to young to go out.Try to make him understand.So try to talk to him.
